Comment: Provides support, information and a listening ear to women experiencing (or have experienced) domestic abuse (physical, emotional, psychological or sexual abuse) and to those seeking help on a woman’s behalf. Local support advice available. The helpline is a member of Language Line and can provide access to an interpreter for non-english speaking callers. The helpline, which is run in partnership between Women’s Aid and the Refuge, can also access the BT Typetalk service for deaf callers. They will also respond to letters and emails.
