Here is an archive of all the artwork Thursday at One members, Volunteers and ‘guest’ members produced remotely during March and April 2020. To see the most recent updates, please click here for the main blog.
Ve (Volunteer) – “I have made this picture from flowers from my garden. I did it on Thursday during our normal meet up time and I really felt connected to you all. Remember it’s normal to have up and down days, we can discuss our time alone when we are back together. Love Ve”
Pauline (Group member) – “My little bit of art from home “
Myra (Group member) – ” Today I planned to do another Winnie the Pooh watercolour but I couldn’t see the pad, so I have done some of the scrapbook for last year’s voyage on Tenacity of Bolton in Western Scotland, some Day Skipper theory, and now I have ironed the backing for a hexagonal wall hanging based on a chair cushion at Eyam Hall – visited a few years ago. One of my mother’s relatives had a cottage in the Plague village. Thank you for the Thursday at One Gallery while we can’t meet in person.”
Chris (Volunteer) – ” Here’s Margaret’s submission to the blog.
We have been looking for means to exercise, so here is Margaret’s exercise – knitting. The results after about three weeks are what you see here. The rest of her time is taken up ensuring Chris keeps busy and gets his exercise moving plants in the garden, under her direction.”
Ve (Volunteer) – “This is my skipping rope and I have had it over 35 years. I have not used it for some years and I can only skip up to 50. Need lots of practice! I really miss a brisk walk though, but that will have to wait. I am missing everyone at Thursday @ 1 and look forward to when we can see each other again. Stay safe. x”
Myra (Group member) – “Dear Stockport Mind Community online! Attached are photos of my latest calligraphy creations as well as my drawer isolated at Wellington Mill. I look forward to meeting again on Thursdays.”
Hollie (Guest member) – “I’ve seen a lot of rainbows in people’s windows so I decided to make my own. I cut up old greeting cards to make this colourful mosaic design.”
Chris (Volunteer) – “Here’s Margaret’s montage for this week. After much TV watching, we thought the next theme for the group could be ‘exercise’ – (it might encourage me to get off the sofa). This is just a suggestion if folk are stuck for an idea, all contributions are welcome. Happy Easter!”
Catherine (Guest member) – “my two children and I enjoyed making these elephants together “
Suzanne (Group member) – ” Hi all. I hope you and your families are well. Here are some photos of my recent art and craft in progress. I have been making my easter tree. I picked the branches from my garden and painted them white. I then arranged with Easter pieces I had kept from last year. I hope you like it. Missing all my friends and volunteers at Thursday @ One.”
Chris (Volunteer) – “Here is Margaret’s finished work. Mine is ‘progressing’… but it got a bit cold outside. Roll on summer.”
Suzi (Group member) – Before
Suzi (Group member) – Progress so far
Suzi (Group member) – “Week one work. Mr Foxy is cut out. Next steps are stuffing and sewing.”
Ve (Volunteer) – “Hi group, I cannot get out to buy my grandson a birthday card, so being a member of Thursday@1 I painted one. Just call it spring”
Ve (Volunteer) – “Also my painting for the window, it is ‘sunset’ for 27th to 30th, then the topic changes. Best wishes, Ve.”
Chris (Volunteer) – “Margaret and I sat down last Thursday to start our pictures too, both a work in progress. Don’t laugh at my Chinese lady, she stood patiently in the flower bed while I did my outline sketch – and she’s still standing there! Hope to continue this week towards a masterpiece.”
