We wanted to say a huge thanks to Pears Foundation, DCMS and Mind for awarding us funds that have enabled us to continue a vital service over recent months.
Our information and signposting helpline service is such an important part of what we do, allowing people to phone for telephone support, information and signposting. Often people phoning can be distressed, or it may be the first time they have spoken to anyone about how they are feeling.
It’s crucial that this service continues, so during these difficult times, the grant has helped ensure that it has been able to, covering a three month period.
The funding is part of the Government’s £750m charities package. The philanthropic support of Pears Foundation involved distributing grants to their trusted, long-term Partners to ensure funding gets to frontline organisations and their communities.
Mind were selected as one of nine partners to receive just over £1 million funding from Pears Foundation and HM Government, to support local Minds working with communities most affected by Covid-19. We received an award of £3000.
