Lots of people are setting up exercise-based challenge fundraisers to support us, which will start in February. Might you consider getting involved too?
With a ‘100k of Feb’ event, 12 friends are each running/walking/cycling 100km next month, to raise funds to support our local mental health services – they’re inviting you and your friends to join them. ‘Any donations would be massively appreciated, but better still join us and donate anything you can from every km you run walk or cycle!’ A £1000 initial target has already been surpassed.
Also, two friends – Annie and Lauren – are each doing 100 squats per day in February to raise money. A local company are finalising plans for staff to walk to work to generate donations.
Another fundraiser which doesn’t involve getting active in of itself, but is via a football coaching business called Coach Cal Connexions, is a football scratch card raffle. There are still tickets left for this and the winner will take the £500 prize.
