This winter we have distributed over 130 winter wellbeing packs to people we support (including Carers) and Volunteers.
In this especially difficult year, even in addition to our support, self-care is as important as ever so we wanted to ensure people are as looked after as possible.
The packs included notebooks, pens, tea, candles, gloves, art sets, mental health quick tips sheets and much more – we tried to tailor them to the person where possible.
Feedback we have received includes the following:
“Thank you everyone for the wellbeing pack, I’m absolutely delighted. Merry Christmas to you all.”
“In regards to the gifts this morning that was so thoughtful and totally unexpected, but it was nice to receive. For you to think of us all at this time and do such a huge undertaking is brilliant, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
“Just to say thank you again for your visit today. It was so good to see you and love all the the goodies! Merry Christmas to you all and thanks for making my day.”
Here are some photos of people receiving their packs at home or outside the office.
In addition to our staff and trustees who pulled these together and delivered them, thanks also go to: a very community-minded organisation in Trafford Park, who donated surplus new textile goods to bolster the packs; to Mary from Stockport Advocacy for involving us in this; Walthew House for loan of their building to store the goods; and Katherine from Stockport Council and the team of helpers staffing distribution. A great example of partnership working and here is our Chair collecting some of these additional items.
