There are a number of events coming up this month, which we’re excited to let you all know that we will be attending.

We will be out and about raising awareness and meeting people, so if you can pop along to see us at any of the following, please feel free to come and say hello.

Friday 19 July – Bracondale Champions Event at Cale Green Park, SK2 6JN. From 1pm.

Saturday 20 July – Annual Community Day in memory of Shaun. Bakery Bridge Football Fields, Adswood, SK3 8LQ, 10.30am onwards.

Last year we attended the first Annual Community Day in memory of Shaun Thomson, a really poignant and well-attended event in Adswood where members of the community came together in remembrance with friends, family, football, food and fun.

We were delighted when a number of the organisers subsequently went on to form the LDN to MCR #SpeakUpCycle campaign in memory of Shaun and other friends/family members, whereby they completed their London to Manchester cycle in less than 24-hours, and raised an incredible £12,000 for us in the process.

To be able to return to this event again and say a huge thanks to the cycling team, as well as engaging more with the amazing community they have built around these events and in memory, will be wonderful – we are touched to have been chosen and invited back.

Saturday 27 July – Cheadle Mosque Open Day, SK8 3NP. 12pm-5pm.

Having raised an excellent £800 to support our local services, Cheadle Masjid have invited us back to appear at their Open Day as one of their charity partners. They’re expecting lots of people to attend, and with loads of things to get involved in, why not pop down and help us celebrate with them?

Sunday 28 July – Stockport Pride. Stockport Historic Marketplace

The third annual Stockport Pride event is also this month, and we’re looking forward to returning for a third time, to celebrate equality and diversity with lots of other local groups, services and people. We’re even bringing a tombola!

We’re also appearing at a couple of private events before the month is out, with staff at Sky Stockport and Pennine NHS Trust.

We can’t wait to meet lots of different people at all these community events, and join with them in raising awareness of mental health, as well as celebrating equality, diversity, and the wonderful fundraising that has been taking place in aid of our services. See you all there!
