This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week was Monday 14th to Sunday 20th May.
We held information stands around Stockport to give people the chance to discuss mental health and take time out to increase their awareness with us.
We had stands at Stockport Train Station, Stockport Homes, numero, Barclays, John Lewis in Cheadle, and we also took part in the Healthwatch Network event.
We actively engaged with over 70 people and we distributed dozens of leaflets too.
Our social media posts relating to the week reached over 9000 accounts, and over 650 people engaged with them.
At our train station events, we also had staff from Sky in Stockport holding a bucket collection for us. This raised an excellent £415.20. We are Sky’s Charity of the Year.
Thanks to everyone who engaged with us, helped us out or donated.
The theme for #MHAW18 was awareness of stress. You can read some of National Mind’s resources about stress here.
We deliver mental health awareness training sessions and can include a focus on stress. Please get in touch with us to find out more – 0161 480 7393.
