Living in unsuitable accommodation can be a real problem faced by many people with mental health problems. This chapter details where you can go for help if you need housing advice and where people with mental health problems can live with support. It also lists organisations that provide support related to housing and where you can go if you need emergency accommodation.

Comment: Referral: From local Council Housing offices, Social Services, Probation, or other relevant professionals. Provides short-term shared accommodation adults who have been referred by the Social Services, the Probation Service or other relevant professionals.Clients can be ex-offenders, drug/alcohol misuse, low support mental health needs + the homeless.

Comment: Referral: Referrals usually via Community Mental Health Team Redcroft is a small short term rehabilitation centre, providing intensive care programmes to help people return to community living. People generally stay for between three months and one year. The Centre provides daily living skills, communication skills and help people establish links in the community. Also support people living in community. Service users have their own tenancies funded by housing benefit.
