Comment: Stockport MIND provides a supportive, flexible environment for people who have or have had a mental health problem to work as volunteers. Volunteers work in the office, help with information duties, work as advocates both in the hospital and in the community, befriend people and help to run groups and leisure activities. Volunteering is a chance to rebuild your confidence and skills and help develop mental health services. Carers and people wishing to gain experience of working in the mental health field are also equally welcome as volunteers. All volunteers are requried to attend an initial training course. Contact Stockport MIND to find out when the next course is running.
