Carers

When one family member has a mental health problem it can be stressful and problematic for the whole family. As a carer you may be helping someone to cope with what are often very strong feelings, such as fear, anxiety and sadness. It is easy for the carer to become isolated and overwhelmed by their circumstances and carers need all the help they can get to help them feel more able to cope. This chapter lists agencies that provide support for carers.
