Comment: Service offering advice, information, advocacy and support to carers of people with severe mental health problems. Workers offer one-to-one home visits and groups. Workers carry out carer assessments and signpost carers onto relevant services. Carer break service available. Referral: Care co-ordinator, GP, local doctor, primary care mental health team, specialist mental health service, self-referral.

A free newsletter is available to carers who wish to receive it. Signpost has information points in localities throughout Stockport. Signpost raises awareness about issues of concern to all carers and helps carers to make their views known.
