Carers Week 2019

Carers Week is an annual event and campaign which raises awareness of Carers’ roles, highlights the challenges unpaid Carers can sometimes face, and recognises their vital contribution.

We have a Carers Support Service, which provides confidential, impartial information, support and advice to adult mental health Carers who live between the postcodes SK1 and SK8.

To recognise Carers Week this year, which is from 10 – 16 June, we have some events planned which any Carers can attend, regardless of whether they are accessing our service.

In terms of what we have got confirmed so far, please click the links below to find out more:

Thursday 13 June – Drop-in for male Carers
Thursday 13 June – Mindfulness taster
Friday 14 June – Carers social lunch

We are also holding an awareness stand in partnership with Signpost For Carers, and this will be at Stockport Train Station on Thursday 13 June, 4pm-6pm.

If you would like to contact our Carers Team to talk about anything to do with being a Carer, or the Carers Week event specifically, please give them a call on 0161 475 6229 or email them on carerssupport@stockportmind.org.uk
