Volunteers’ Winter Celebration 2018

Our Volunteers are a vital part of our team, bringing a wealth of experience and skills to their various roles in support of our services.

This November, we returned to the Ladybrook Pub in Bramhall for the third year running, for a Winter Celebration dedicated to the hard work and wonderful year-round support of our Volunteer team.

As well as the lovely food, and close-up magic tricks courtesy of the returning and ever-entertaining Magic Philip, newer volunteers were able to meet and spend time with others who have been Volunteering with us for many years. There was a lovely atmosphere and everyone shared conversations, jokes and fun.

One of our more recent additions to our Volunteer team, Kathy, said: “It was such a lovely evening, being able to meet everybody and feeling that connection because we’re all Volunteers. They’re a great bunch of people and I felt very included and welcome.”

Our manager Collin gave a speech thanking Volunteers for everything they do for us, stressing that “we couldn’t do half of what we do without you.”

Thanks again to everyone who came along, and to all our Volunteers for everything they do for us.
