Time To Talk Day 2018 – our plans

Time To Talk Day is an annual event which encourages people to get talking about mental health.

This year it’s on Thursday 1st February and we’re going to be in a number of places in Stockport to recognise the day and raise mental health awareness.

Why not come along and say hello, have a chat and find out more about how you can support those in your local community at one of our public information stalls? They are as follows:

Olive Roc Cafe, 88-90, Castle Street, Edgeley, SK3 9AL – 1.30pm-3pm
Windmill Cafe (Stockport Homes), Cornerstone, Edward Street, SK1 3UR – 11am-1pm

We will also have stalls for staff members at John Lewis in Cheadle and Sky in Stockport.

Time To Talk Day is an event organised by Time To Change. Time To Change is a campaign run by charities National Mind and Rethink Mental Illness – a growing movement of people changing how we all think and act about mental health.

We’re part of the Greater Manchester Time to Change Organic Hub, in partnership with other Local Minds within Greater Manchester.

Our role as part of the Hub is signposting people to them to become Time to Change Champions – Champions are people who engage in grass-roots mental health campaigning in their local community.
