Findings – Young People’s mental health consultation

The Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group commissioned us to deliver a consultation exercise with young people about their needs and wishes for mental health support (a key national and local improvement priority).

We received feedback from 171 Young People, 47 parents/carers, 34 mental health providers and 18 GPs.

A wide range of areas for improvement were identified, including; more funding and support, improved access to services, staff approach, 1:1 talking therapies, role of schools, services working together, better ‘transition’ services, helpline and online support, crisis support, assertive outreach, and more.
