On Friday 16th September, ParkCloud held a fantastic fundraising event, raising almost £600 for Stockport Mind.
This was organised for Park(ing) Day, an annual event where parking spaces worldwide are temporarily transformed into public places.
Leading up to Park(ing) Day, ParkCloud staff split into two teams, going head-to-head to grow plants and see which team could create the best green space. Because growing plants can be positive for mental health, they decided we would be a fitting charity to raise money for.
Come the day of the fundraiser, ParkCloud turned their office car park into an ‘urban allotment’, displaying the fruits of their labour, in addition to hosting a BBQ with refreshments, table football and games for all to enjoy.
Stockport’s MP Ann Coffey came along to support the fundraiser, which was also attended by members of other local businesses and organisations.
We would like to say a huge thanks to ParkCloud for choosing us, for inviting us along to such a brilliant afternoon, and to everyone else that came along or donated.
