We are very pleased to announce that we are jointly hosting a conference in September 2016 – Time to join forces: An interdisciplinary approach to fighting mental health stigma.
About the conference
The University of Manchester, Stockport and District Mind and The University of Surrey collaborated together on this research project. We aimed to gather people’s experiences of stigma in relation to either their own mental health problem or caring for someone with a mental health problem. The research team will present these findings at the conference. This will be alongside guest speakers who will talk about their seminal stigma research. We will also be hosting a workshop and panel discussion. Further details are on the poster below. If you would like to attend, please email Wai Kan on Wai.Kan@manchester.ac.uk to reserve your place.
On the day of the conference, we will be using the hashtag #MHstigma2016. So please use #MHstigma2016 to tweet thoughts about the day and join in with conversations about the conference.
